A Fairytale Dream at the Magical Marbella Club Part 1

I am not entirely sure where to start with this magical fairytale wedding of Holly and Jamie we designed and planned last weekend at the breathtaking Marbella Club.

I think a good place to start would be with Holly and Jamie, such a charming and fun couple whom we had the pleasure of working with.  Right from day one when we first met with them 2 years ago, they knew their vision and dream and worked hard with us to help us achieve their perfect day for them communicating with us everything they hoped for and expected and how delighted we are to receive such compliments shortly after their wedding day that their day surpassed everything they could have ever imagined!

It really was a fairytale day dream come true with Holly's absolutely show stopping dress taking centre stage, we will tell you more about the dress in our next blog post.

The Marbella Club truly lived up to it's long standing reputation delivering more than a 5 star dining and service experience, headed by Anna and her team they worked hard with Carla to make sure everything was perfect.

Holly's wedding design was a blush, soft pink and ivory colour scheme mixed with golds and some lovely details.  The flowers, created by Loraine, were stunning and Holly provided lots of gorgeous details from a mix of mother of pearl shell placecard holders to some very pretty napkin rings from Zara Home in pearls and golds.  Jamie worked on the stationery continuing the theme from the invitations into the actual day to provide the placecards, table names and Order of Service booklets.

The gold tiffany chairs were hired in from Pedro Navarro and we finished off all the details and decorations such as gold charger plates, florals, candles, table seating plan set into a vintage white frame, Bali parasols, fans, confetti, chair decorations, lace table cloth for the about us table, a beautiful keepsake box and a fairy lit garden filled with lanterns and candles including our new gorgeous gold lanterns from Zara home surrounding the pool.

The lighting and staging was provided by Nigel at Chez Vous and a whole host of entertainment and surprises were in store for Holly and Jamie's guests.

We will share more details in Part 2 of this Fairytale wedding and our thanks to all the suppliers who helped create such a beautiful wedding and to our fabulous team for another show stopping wedding.

Our gorgeous images are courtesy of the super speedy Anna Gazda from Limelight photography, whom we have had the pleasure now of working with for many years and she never ceases to amaze me as to how quickly she gets the photos to us!

Rocking in Toledo

As far as weddings go this wedding was fabulously fun, we rocked the bustling city of Toledo as Debs and John bought their family and friends all the way from Australia to Spain to celebrate their wedding.

We loved our gorgeous bride and groom in sneakers and there were so many delicious treats for their guests who had travelled from far afield to join them on their fabulous Spanish adventure.

Debs contacted me last May to help her create her dream rock and roll style wedding here in Spain and wanted to host her special day in the Madrid or Toledo area as John's family are based there, so with the help of the super efficient Carmen we narrowed down the most enchanting venue, the Hacienda Del Cardenal, situated right in the heart of Toledo's historical city centre.

All our planning and styling was done on email and Facebook and Debs quickly became a friend as well so we chatted details, exchanged ideas, and narrowed down suppliers, mostly at night for me as Debs seemed to wake up just as I was going to bed!!

Eventually the big day arrived and a few days beforehand I drove up to Toledo loaded up with ribbons, glitter pom pom balls as confetti, wine crates, grapes and some fabulous props and signs and joined Carmen in Toledo to create the most fantastic wedding day for Debs and John.

I am not sure where to start from the details and treats for the wedding guests, from beautiful artisan chocolate and nuts lollipops bought from Madrid by Carmen to the olive bar, lemonade bar, mint choc chip cupcakes, gin cocktails, flamenco guitar and show, photo booth, the list of treats and goodies was endless and such fun!

We loved the tiny details such as the cartoon ring cushion, lego cake topper, wine themed table seating plan beautifully created by Carmen styled with barrels, wine crates and grapes incorporated into the table centrepieces with the table numbers and placecards set into corks.

It is a weekend I will always remember for being such fun and I am delighted to have shared such a special time with Debs and John as they celebrated their wedding here in our beautiful country.

As I type this blog post they are currently on their way back to Australia having spent the best part of three months here travelling around Spain and Europe, we wish Debs and John safe travels, a happy marriage and cannot wait to see their new home which they are moving into once they arrive back in Australia.

My thanks goes to Carmen, who worked with me to organise such a beautiful wedding, the venue for being so friendly, helpful and efficient, particularly the waiter who kept feeding me during my stay with some lovely canapes, to Miriam at Kiss and Chips for these fabulous photos we are able to share with you and all the other suppliers who were involved.
