A Beautiful Blush and Mint Wedding at Villa Padierna Hotel

Nothing quite beats the elegance of the Villa Padierna Hotel and for our avid followers you may recall one of our previous weddings at this gorgeous hotel was featured in Style Me Pretty so a wedding combined with this beautiful venue and the stunning Encarnacion Church in Marbella is always going to be a fabulous affair!

Eva and David live in Australia but chose to host their wedding here in Marbella as it is such a great central location for family and friends to travel to from all over the world including Ireland and London with supposedly almost guaranteed sunshine.

Our famous Mediterranean sun did not show up sadly and was replaced by rain, a hailstorm, lightening and thunder, but I have to admit I loved the more atmospheric feel to the day listening to the thunder whilst working on the flowers in the church.

Nothing was going to dampen the mood for this gorgeous wedding and brollies were quickly found for everyone at the church.  A beautiful ceremony took place and eventually true to Spain the sun came out again later in the evening and a fabulous party was underway.

We loved the colour combination using a mint green and blush scheme with chevron details and golds and created some beautiful Spanish vintage style stationery to compliment the design from the Save the Dates to the Order of Service booklets, gorgeous flowers and lots of delightful details from gold charger plates to personalised placecards tied to each napkin with mint ribbons, table names set into gold vintage style frames and this fabulous dessert and chocolate treat table.

The icing on the cake, excuse the pun, had to be this fabulous creation from Sweet Things By Fi with the chevron pattern and such beautiful sugar flowers.   We have now stolen this cake design and have it in our shop as we love it so much!

Our thanks to all the suppliers who worked with us at this gorgeous wedding and to Nani De Perez for sharing these beautiful photos.

Our congratulations to Eva and David and cannot believe it is now over two months since your wedding day!

A Starry Night in Sotogrande

Mix a lot of Australians with a crowd of Irish and throw in a golden wheelbarrow full of beer and you have a party made!  What a lot of fun this fabulous wedding was of Shanelle and Paddy, held in the picturesque grounds of the polo club in Sotogrande.

You may recall, for our avid followers, the sad tale of Shanelle and Paddy's friends who were horrifically attacked earlier this year and sadly one of them could not make it to the wedding but everyone was there from as far afield as Australia, to help Shanelle and Paddy celebrate their memorable wedding day.

Shanelle had of course been sidetracked before her wedding so she left us to sweat over the details!  We had a lot of fun creating this gorgeous wedding, using a lace, gold and pearl theme with blush, pale pink and ivory colours.  Shanelle was up for anything that was going to make her smile on her big day, from a retro sweet candy bar for a sweet toothed Paddy, to giant balloons, the hugely popular flips flops and fun photo booth.

After a beautiful church ceremony, we headed off to the polo grounds to enjoy a cocktail under the trees, here we kept the details more rustic with some of Isabel's wonderfully creative signs, a lovely table seating plan made on a wooden background using a selection of our frames, the famous golden wheelbarrow full of iced beers and of course we managed to throw in a bit of sparkle with our gorgeous gold sequin table runners on the cocktail tables.

The dinner and dancing was up at the main restaurant and set in a marquee, although we were at the end of May, the evenings here can still be chilly and a marquee was a good excuse to add in some more sparkle and twinkle with fairy lights and chandeliers.  The sparkle and twinkle continued to the tables which were dressed with ivory vintage lace runners, gold charger plates, , soft pink blush napkins which matched the gold tiffany seat covers, mirrors with beautiful blush, ivory and pink floral arrangements on, vintage style gold frames for table names and finished off with strings of pearls and gold tealights.

The team at Cancha, headed up by Justo were amazing, the food was delicious and the party got into full swing with Monkey Tennis leading the music followed by Rob the DJ, who was in heaven having been positioned again near the candy bar!  Guests were entertained all evening and had a ball at the photo booth.

This was a perfect wedding day for such deserving clients, we had a ball, the whole day was filled with laughter and smiles with such a fun crowd all having a lovely time.  A congratulations to our fabulous suppliers whom without their professionalism and experience we could not create our dream weddings.

Andreas Holm for these awesome photos, Rebecca Louise for her video, Sweet Things by Fi for her stunning vintage and pearl wedding cake, Amanda Rosa and Matt McGurk for their beautiful music, Chez Vous for their teccie things and lighting!, Pedro Navarro for his beautiful chairs, Justo and his team for the catering and Monkey Tennis and Rob the DJ for keeping everyone partying until the early hours.
