A Sneak Peek of our Gorgeous Private Villa Wedding in Marbella

What a wonderful whirlwind of weddings May and June has been, with a pretty wet start to our wedding season thankfully it soon warmed up to the Mediterranean temperatures we know and love!

I cannot believe we are now into July, goodness knows where the past two months have gone, and we are now eagerly awaiting photos of our weddings we have worked so hard on in the past few months to share with you.

Can you imagine our delight when we received these sneak peek images of some of our decoration from our wedding last weekend at a private villa in Marbella.

We adore this wedding and cannot wait to share the rest of it with you.

From the pre-wedding cocktail party at the fabulous Gran Gatsby overlooking the Puerto Banus to the stunning details of such a fabulous wedding day in a private villa in Marbella, followed by a very cool tropical themed pool party with an cute icecream station and giant inflatable pineapples and flamingos!  I was in heaven despite spending hours blowing up inflatables!!

Thank you to Agata Jensen for sending us a few treats this week of our work and looking forward to seeing more images of such a fabulous weekend designed and produced by Reviva Weddings and thank you to my amazing team for your devotion and humour during a very busy time!

A Magical Hacienda Wedding in Seville

As wedding season here in Spain has got off to a rather gloomy start we are so excited and looking forward to returning shortly to one of our favourite wedding venues which we know has a special place in many of our couples hearts who have celebrated their weddings at this stunning Hacienda.

The owner, Anthony along with his fabulous team, ooze character, style and magic as they seamlessly and professionally create each wedding at their venue and work effortlessly with us, we love them!

Saro and Sue of Saro Callister recently sent us these gorgeous images of Kate and Rob to share with you of their stunning wedding day at the Hacienda.

The day started with a beautiful ceremony in the olive groves followed by a cocktail around the pool in the west garden.

A fabulous Sevillian horse arrived to take the bride and groom off for a ride into the sunset to take some more beautifully romantic photos before being bought back to the Hacienda to continue celebrating their special day with their family and friends in the olive groves.

Thank you to Sue and Saro from Saro Callister photography for allowing us to share these photos and of course a huge congratulations to the delightful Kate and Rob!

Spanish Cocktail White Wine Sangria with Mango

We are often asked for cocktail suggestions for our weddings with a Spanish twist, something a bit different to the popular red sangria, cava and mojitos

This particular sangria blanca recipe, we found on The Kitchn, is a twist on the southern Spanish classic, Zurra, a white wine based sangria mixed with peaches or nectarines and looks perfect for a hot summers day drink and so pretty.

I cannot wait to try it out but Spain is very seasonal so there are no peaches or nectarines yet here in the shops, therefore we are going to have to be patient and put this on our summer cocktail testing list!

Here is the cocktail recipe for anyone who wishes to try this out!

6 ounces crisp, dry white wine
2 ounces fresh peaches or nectarines, chopped (approximately 1 peach or nectarine)
2 ounces fresh mango, chopped (approximately 1/2 mango)
1 ounce ginger liqueur
1 ounce elderflower liqueur
2 cups ice, preferably crushed
Fresh basil and sliced peaches or nectarines, for garnish

In a blender, combine the white wine, peaches or nectarines, mango, ginger liqueur, and elderflower liqueur.
Add ice and blend, starting on the lowest setting and increasing to the highest setting. Add more ice if you desire a thicker consistency.
Pour the cocktail into chilled flutes and garnish with sliced stone fruit and sprigs of fresh basil.
If you can, use crushed ice. Your cocktail will blend easier and make a smoother drink. If you can't find crushed ice, make your own by wrapping ice cubes in a kitchen towel and smashing them with a meat tenderizer or mallet.
Take the time to pre-chill your wine and spirits so the ice remains cold and doesn't quickly dilute the drink when you mix it.
Prefer a less boozy version? Simply add a touch more ice or a handful more fruit.

Botanical Style, Easter Inspiration

I have many blogs and websites I adore and this time of year I relish in actually having the time to study, read and pore over these delightful inspirations.

The Brand Stylist is one of them, I love her simple style and attention to details and would love to attend one of her courses as they seem so well thought through and put together.

As the Botanical style is hugely popular I thought I would share some of the images from this gorgeous website as there is a whole host of lovely Easter floral inspiration which conveys the botanical style that is creeping into wedding and event styling for 2016.

Combinations of the new style copper wire lights, simple glass geometric shapes and the eclectic mix of urban meets nature is a brilliant way of decorating and styling your wedding.

Think brickwork, wooden tables, ferns, in season plants, living twigs and leaves, less florals and more focus placed on glass, structures and simple textures.

As wedding stylists we love these ideas, one of my favourite looks for our Spanish weddings is a simple white napkin adorned with an olive sprig, it encompasses everything Spanish, such a clean statement when your guests arrive at their tables and so simple it is utterly charming.

As detailed focused stylists, our role in your wedding is to design the visual aspects of your wedding, by putting together your personal tastes and our distinct eye for beauty.

Our approach is to inspire, excite and guide you along the way so you enjoy planning your wedding. From arranging the composition of your table settings to dreaming up beautiful displays for your favours, our aim is to create lasting memories you and your guests remember for years to come.

We specialise in handmade, sourced and collected unique detailing and dedicate ourselves to your wedding as if it were our own.

I hope you enjoy this Easter inspiration as much as we do.
